Styled Portrait shoot in Estonia
In November, I had the most fun time doing a styled portrait shoot in Estonia. Meet my very good and beautiful friend Carmen who volunteered to put up with me and hang out in a freezing Estonian town called Paide. The temperature dropped to -15 at night and for a moment I even questioned if I should cancel the meet & shoot.
A portrait shoot in the snow is a great idea but how do you stay warm?
However, we were well prepared to stand the cold as Carmen’s grandma filled us with some hot coffee and delicious homemade apple cake before we left and we also took some hot tea with us to keep us going. I borrowed some old winter boots and a coat from my mum and Carmen found some comfort from her grandma’s full length coat so we looked like an elderly couple as we were strolling down an icy road.
But in a good company it doesn’t matter where you are and what your wear!
And don’t you just love her hair! It’s totally amazing and the funniest thing was when Carmen announced that she had just cut her hair short! SHORT!?
We had lots of fun and giggles and as we finished at our last location we passed a mutual friend who after seeing my Scottish throw asked if we were having a picnic :). After being thouroughly frozen and wet from lying in the snow we headed back to Carmen’s grandma’s house where a few shots of Jagermaister were welcomed and well deserved!
Great friends make any weather and location fun and can’t wait to do another portrait photoshoot in Estonia.
