A few months ago I received one of the most heartwarming messages from Helena and Matt whose wedding I photographed back in 2016.
‘Hi Eneka, I don’t remember whether you will remember us but you photographed our wedding in Cambridge a couple of years ago. We just wanted to let you know that we had a baby girl last week. We wanted to tell you because we have named her ENEKA Victoria.
We loved your name as soon as we heard it, and loved your spirit and presence on our wedding day. Your name is a beautiful memory of our wedding and since then we have known that a baby girl of ours would be an Eneka.’ –

Of course I remembered them, it was a cracking wedding day with style and lots of fun. They had a church ceremony with the reception at Helena’s parents home, guests travelled from all over the world and they served the most delicious curry that makes me hungry from thinking of it.
I phoned my mum as soon as I got the message and had a little tear in my eye. The sweetest message that totally made my year.
A few weeks ago I had the pleasure to meet baby Eneka and we had the loveliest time getting to know each other. I can’t wait to see her growing up and meeting for more cuddles and happy chats.
